Stay here? All alone? Primus no! There's no telling what could happen. Aside the high likelihood that some of Axiom's little minions inhabit this room his own curiosity and boredom could also prove hazardous. If left to his own devices he'll most likely start rummaging through things that have no right to be rummaged through and find things that should never be found. And Freefall really doesn't want to test the limits of Axiom's forgiveness.
"Well, uh, if it's okay with you, I'd like to help you. I mean, if you don't think I'll get in the way, of course." He wonders just how much help he can really be. He feels completely out of his depth here; it's like nothing he's ever experienced before. And yet for some reason, he can't help but feel Barrier Breaker really does want his help. There's something about that baleful look that he just can't say no to.

"Thank... you." Barrier Breaker murmurs awkwardly after a moment before regathering his composure and quietly adding; "Well, I doubt you'd get in the way as much as I do. You're pretty... uhm." Small.
Although that might be a tad insulting and Barry really didn't want to insult someone who was helping him, especially not accidentally. The isopod-former briefly rubs his upper arm out of nervous habit before bending down and courteously offering one huge hand for Freefall to step onto.
"I can carry you?"

Freefall blinks startledly at the extended hand before him. After a few moments of careful study, he smiles softly, nods to himself and cautiously clambers onto the hand.
At least this way he won't get under Barrier Breaker's feet or slow him down. Plus there's less chance of him getting eaten by one of Axiom's pets.

Barrier Breaker most certainly didn't want to step on Freefall or let him get eaten, so it was simply imperative that he carefully lift the small mech off the floor and cradle him protectively, before 'quietly' striding out of the room to find that damned disembodied sibling of his. The dark depths of Axiom's lab was a nigh explored part of the universe and caution was a necessity here, especially with a stranger in his arms who wasn't as familiar with the general layout of the complex.
The giant mech strides down the open hallway. Axiom's and Aftermath's voices flicker over the walls from the living room, muffled by the walls and the distance although he could still make out the tone of their voices despite the distortions. Aftermath's voice had taken on a more professional rumble now that the two had settled down and apparently gotten into business talk although Axiom's voice still held some annoyance.
Barrier Breaker shakes his head and turns his attention away from the voices and down the opposite end of the hallway (if the spark had gone into the living room, there' have been a lot more commotion by now), looking out for the tell tale flicker or 'clink' of container against a surface. There was a brief bright glow on a distant wall that cast sharp shadows on the dull metal before vanishing in a blink. The isopod-former holds Freefall closer to his chest and moves to go after it.

Barrier Breaker's arms certainly are a snug seat. And this is a good spot to serve as a lookout for the larger mech.
After a short while of glancing around the vast hallway Freefall notes the way Barrier Breaker pulls him closer into his chest. He must have spotted something.
As Barrier Breaker moves, Freefall clings apprehensively to the giant's arms. Hopefully he won't regret coming along for the ride.

The glow is quickly fading and Barrier Breaker hurries after it, stomping down the corridor with all the stealth of a landing jumbo jet. When he finally does round the corner the spark was still not in sight- rather, a small glowing orb creature found itself abruptly peering up at a very confused giant before quickly fleeing.
"... Glow critters. Of course he would." Probably saved up a lot on Axiom's electricity bill, come to think of it. He pauses and peers around trying to find signs of the wayward spark once more, quietly saying to Freefall. "You'd think it'd be easy to find a spark."

Freefall gawps at the glowing orb creature and shuffles in Barrier Breakers arms to try and examine it, however it all too quickly flees before he gets the chance.
Barrier Breaker mentions them being called "Glow critters." Huh, interesting. He'll have to remember to ask about them.
Keeping the conversation flowing, Freefall nods swiftly in agreement. "I wouldn't have thought a spark could move so fast on it's own," he whispers back. "Then again, with so many distractions down here, that spark has the advantage."
Shuffling back into the security of Barrier Breaker's arms, Freefall flicks his tail and settles. "And it's not as though it's leaving a trail for us to follow."

It was a strange feeling having someone so small and fluffy shuffling about in his arms. Well, someone small and fluffy who wasn't Axiom. He hadn't met too many people with organic altmodes outside of the travelers in the space stations, but the numbers of beast-modes were beginning to grow steadily. A good majority of Cybertron would never convert to beast mode, but there was definitely a bit of a growing trend.
“Well, it’s still early in the game so it can’t be too far away. I hope.” Who knew what disembodied sparks could do? "Well, even if it is far away, the beasts probably got it." That would be helpful although he'd probably have to fight Axiom's pets for the spark. Which would be a tad unpleasant to begin with and he definitely didn't want Freefall to get hurt.
Barrier Breaker makes a low, nervous noise before stepping further into dark hallways, peering around the corners and curves whenever they came up. Never hurts to be too cautious.

Fighting Axiom's pets for an ungrateful spark wasn't something Freefall was looking forward too, either. How in the cosmos this even happened is still beyond him. Sparks don't run away on their own. He was fairly certain of that given that in all his time at the shipping bay none of the sparks of the injured flyers' decided to up and leave. That would have been unnerving.
No, this stubborn little spark was different, Freefall was sure of that.
His ears twitch at Barrier Breaker's noise and he glances around the dark hallways, peering into the opposite corners and curves to the ones Barrier Breaker inspected. With his optics and ears straining he gives Barrier Breaker's arms another slight, involuntary squeeze. You really can't be too cautious here.

The next few steps brought them to a blue lit catwalk of sorts- one suspended above a giant gloomy pool. Above them an abundance of glowing critters swarmed in the dark roof, their ethereal light glimmering off the walkway and the pool. Occasionally a stray ball of light would dart by before idly floating away once more, sometimes comically bouncing off the walls or handrails along the way.
The thick liquid below them on the other hand was almost motionless, only the occasional ripple and or swirl breaking the placid surface. Now and then, the dark outline of an animal would present itself from the perpetually dark depths, glowing scales and fins making nightmare shapes against the serene water. Now and then, a heavy 'plop' or splash would echo from the lightless corners of the room and the horde of glowing critters swirled in a brief bout of panic before settling back to their usual mindless floating.
Barrier Breaker stopped at the edge of the catwalk, optics narrowing as he peered up at the mass of lights and idly wondered if the spark they were searching for had taken refuge in the crowded ceiling. When he could find nothing, he turned his attention down to Freefall and gently nudged the glider within the safe nest of his arms.
"Hey," the giant murmured softly. "You see anything up there? I'm afraid my optics aren't very good at spotting things in the light."

Hiding a pleased smile, Freefall pulled on his squirrel-eye goggles and peered up. Finally he could be of some greater use.
Barrier Breaker was very fortunate. The eye-goggles Freefall possessed were just the thing for this situation. They possessed selective filters, much like organic eye retinas, that reacted to light when worn and enhanced the view for his optics. This made seeing things in bright light very easy for Freefall. They literally were a second pair of eyes.
Trying to ignore the oil curdling and distracting noises that echoed throughout the room, Freefall examined the ceiling. He was quietly awed at the anomalous creatures that swam above them and didn't quite know what counted as "anything" since all the sights were new to him.
"Well...there are a lot of orbs up there..." he said, craning his neck up. "Hm, but I still haven't found the spark container. That should really stick out among all these lights." He carries on surveying the ceiling, looking for any sign of the container that may give the troublesome spark away.

Barrier Breaker steps cautiously onto the catwalk, peering over the sides as he listened to Freefall talk. The smaller mech's voice and the warmth of his weight was comforting against the chilly gloom of the room but the isopod-former knew better than to let his guard down.
Monstrous faces peered up at them from the depths, black against black eyes outlined by ghostly whites and blues. The water seemed almost viscous now that he looked closer- thick and dark and even with the eyes of a deep sea beast, Barrier Breaker couldn't see past the first few meters.
"... I hope it's not under the water." He says after Freefall finished making his observations, carefully leaning away from the railings. "I'm not going to chase it down there." That meant leaving Freefall alone in this labyrinth and swimming into the unwelcoming monster-filled pool.
"Spark containers float in water, right?" Maybe the little bastard would just be bobbing around on the surface then.

"Well..." Freefall pulls his head down and looks grimly at Barrier Breaker through his eyed goggles. "Not always. There's the possibility it's cracked and took on water. It could've sank." This, however, seemed highly unlikely. Scratching his furry head, he muses more. "However, there's also the matter of this spark being rather willful. It could simply be hiding under water; it certainly had the strength to move the spark container quite quickly out of the other room and propel it all this way. I'm sure it could easily hold the container under water if it wanted to."
Freefall peers down to the water below. "Hm. Rather the game of hide and seek, isn't it?"

“I never did like that game.” Mostly because he was always too big to really hide. Which isn’t to say big things can’t be hidden, but Barrier Breaker was hardly ever made to perfect any sort of stealth tactic.
Well, Axiom had tried - he always did- but then the meager skill had been slowly replaced by years and years of simply looking intimidating instead of being truly powerful. Which was why Barrier Breaker was looking around for a cleaning net instead of readily jumping in.
“If you don’t mind, would you move to my shoulders for a bit?” The isopod-former asks softly, looking suspiciously over the water for any signs of squirrel eating monsters. “Axiom keeps the nets under the boards.” And those latches were already small enough without having one armful of fluff to hold as well.

Freefall quickly finds his bearings and scuttles up Barrier Breakers arm before settling on the isopod's back, holding onto his shoulders for support. He peers keenly down to the water, tail flicking curiously.
