Aftermath watches the little... fluffy thing scuttle off to the safety of Barrier Breaker's side with as an amused an expression as his masked face lets him have. His red optics flare even more so when the mech speaks up, a raspy chuckle clogging up his vocalizer.
"How cute!" He rumbles jovially, stepping back to give Axiom a heavy handed pat with his free hand. "It definitely can't be yours now, it's much too meek." He stops after that, completely oblivious to his host's displeased glower, and ponders for a minute. "S' it a hooker?"
"Aftermath," Axiom utters, flattening the puff of fur on his chest with an irritated huff. "That is Freefall and he is a friend. I'd rather you not be so presumptuous of strangers in my house in the future."
"Yes, yes, but asides from that..." and then inspiration dawns on the old Decepticon as he peers at Barrier Breaker who had shifted to place his arm between him and Freefall. "Is it Barry's hooker?"
Axiom splutters and hisses a few choice words before pointing to the increasingly mortified isopod-former and curtly uttering, "Be a dear and take Freefall to the back rooms. I think I and Aftermath have some issues to work out." Aftermath bursts into harsh, riotous laughter even as Barrier Breaker swiftly did as he was told and began to try and usher Freefall into quieter territory, taking the spark container with him.

Outraged as the word "hooker" is thrown around so freely, Freefall glares hard at Aftermath and puffs up, his organic ears and whiskers twitching with anger. Almost immediately later, Barrier Breaker is trying to usher him away. Not breaking his gaze from Aftermath and subconsciously digging his heels in to prevent himself moving, Freefall certainly wasn't making this easy for Barrier Breaker.
Gradually and very slowly, almost reluctantly, he shuffles away with Barrier Breaker, all the time eying Aftermath furiously.

Heel dragging might've deterred a smaller mech, but Barrier Breaker didn't even need to try. This isn't to say he intended not to be deterred, he simply just didn't feel it and only felt mildly puzzled when their small visitor finally decides to shuffle along. It isn't until they are safely in a haphazardly cluttered room that he finally does speak up, voice low and unsure.
"Sorry about that," the behemoth peers down at Freefall, golden optics gleaming in apology. "Aftermath isn't a very polite guy."

Sighing, Freefall glances up to Barrier Breaker. "I gathered. But I wouldn't worry about it." He gives a light shrug and folds his arms as he speaks. "Honestly, I've had worse."
Looking about the cluttered room, Freefall spies a sturdy crate and seats himself on it. "Hmph, what does Axiom want with a guy like that anyway?"

"There's always worse in a place like Praxus, unfortunately," Barrier Breaker murmurs, settling his sizable bulk on the sterile, dust colored floor. He takes a moment to adjust the light settings on the wall, the resulting pale light illuminating the small, stuffed room.
"Anyhow, well," he begins, tone soft as he gently places the spark container on a dusty table. "Beastmods is a working business so we needed someone to do our advertisements. Aftermath was Axiom's only acquaintance in that particular field." Although why his creator chose to endure the cynical brute was a little beyond him. There were certainly easier people to work with just a few calls away.
The giant pauses for a few moments, clawed hands resting on his knees as he churns through the questions in his head- mostly just weeding out ones deemed too nosy or annoying. The isopod finally wittles it down to one question and even then there's an awkward stammer before he could start.
"So, uhm, how did you end up meeting Axiom anyhow?"

Swinging his legs over his seat and brightening slightly, Freefall almost sounds cheerful as he speaks.
"It's funny, you know? It feels like an age ago but it was only earlier today." Freefall scratches an ear and continues. "Well, to put it frankly, I'm afraid I met him through inadvertently landing on him. You see, I..." here he gives a small, embarrassed cough, "...well, I was startled during flight preparations and didn't have time to fully utilize my flight capabilities and I...fell off the edge of a building."
Freefall winces slightly as the last words are uttered. Said out loud, it's sounds rather pathetic and embarrassing. Thank goodness he's not relaying the whole truth, although he's certainly not lying either.
"It was rather unfortunate that Axiom just happened to be in the exact place I landed," Freefall adds, twiddling his clawed thumbs nervously. "And believe me, I was really sorry about it. So naturally the only decent thing to do was to help him get home, especially since I was the one that had injured him. So he guided me home with Cug. Cug sure is an intelligent creature, isn't he?" He smiles slightly at the memory of the characteristic creature.
"Hm. I suppose it's a small consolation that it happened. I mean, if it didn't, well, none of us would have met."

Okay so weirder things have happened to Axiom than having a random stranger fall on top of him, but Freefall still gets an odd look from Barrier Breaker as he explains the situation. Well, supposes the giant isopod, at least this fellow was nice enough to bring his guardian back home instead of just running away. Although admittedly, running away would have probably been a good choice had it been anyone else but the kindly scientist. Better to get away than face any potential resulting drama.
"Yeah, Cug is a nice bug," Barrier Breaker says after a moment. This is the part where everyone figures out that Axiom just names Cugm Cug because Cug rhymed with bug. "And I am most certainly glad to have met you in spite of the complicated circumstances, although I do wish it could've been under more pleasant conditions."

Freefall scratches his ears again. The dust must be aggrivating his fur. He hoped he didn't seem rude.
"This is one of my more pleasant conditions, believe it or not. When you...bump into people as often as I do, they really aren't very polite about it." Flicking his tail to try and sweep the dust away from him, he fiddles with the flying squirrel googles about his face and grumbles about how the room could use a good dusting.
"Anyway, what's done is done. Might as well make the best of it."

"... There's brushes in one of the boxes if you need it." Barrier Breaker says after a few moments of watching Freefall itch. Maybe they should've gone to another room. Then again, all of the backrooms were dusty anyways so that was probably a bit of an exercise in futility. Why did Axiom always forget to tell the drones to clean these rooms?
Shaking his head slightly to himself, the giant mech turns his attention back to Freefall and tries to figure out a polite way of asking the other why he kept on landing on people if he was flier. Failing that, he simply glances sideways, sight inevitably falling upon the spark container for his new 'sibling'.
"... This is really awkward." He murmurs unhappily.

With a soft huff Freefall folds his arms and swings his legs impatiently over the crate edge. He was never one for being idle. He doesn't know why; since acquiring his fluffy alternate mode he's never been able to sit still for any great length of time. Even now, the haphazard clutter was looking inviting to scale and look around...
No. Swiftly shaking his head as if to diminish the thought, Freefall starts curling and uncurling his tail.
"Do you think they'll be much longer?" he asks Barrier Breaker softly.

"I don't know, actually. Probably not because Aftermath isn't very pleasant to talk to." Of course, Aftermath sticking around to annoy Axiom might throw a bit of a wrench in their current plans. Barrier Breaker distantly scowls at that thought and distantly hopes the situation wouldn't need to be dragged out anymore than necessary, if only for Freefall's comfort (and maybe sanity).
A soft 'click' interrupts his pondering and for a moment, the giant mech looks up at Freefall in confusion. Then he realized the sound is coming from his side and he turns his head to peer at the spark container once more, an even more puzzled look on his face. It's all the warning he gets before the veil covering the cylinder suddenly lifts up and bounces wildly around the room.

Freefall stares widely at the spark container. That definitely can't be good. Since when did sparks do that!?
He flails wildly before wobbling off the crate as the manic cylinder suddenly darts at him; a huge cloud of dust rising up as he hits the floor. "Oof!"
Propping himself back up on the crate and somehow managing to look even more disheveled than before, Freefall looks despairingly over to Barrier Breaker. "What's happening!?"

"My new sibling's disembodied spark is flying!" Barrier Breaker's slightly panicked statement is followed by a futile attempt to grab at the wayward spark container. The floor creaks queasily under his sudden weight as he pushes off the floor, grabbing at the glimmering cylinder over the boxes and crates and dusty old desks.
His next few lunges weren't as well calculated though and the giant ends up toppling a few towers of storage boxes with a fearful yelp. He stumbles back, yelps again as he almost topples over Freefall and struggles to regain his balance. The isopod ends up on the floor anyways, aft hitting the ground only a meter or so away from Freefall's crate, the flooring crunching under the stress.
With a despairing expression on his face, the giant mech watches the spark dart out into the hallway.

The room quakes from Barrier Breaker's hefty mass hitting the floor. Freefall bounces, a mass of quivering, scrabbling fur, and eyes Barrier Breaker widely, only just realizing how close the behemoth was to landing on him.
His optics are quickly diverted as he follows the troublesome spark's trail out the room and down the hallway. Pulling himself together, he finds his feet and dashes over to Barrier Breaker to see if he can be of any assistance.
"I don't think your new sibling likes you very much," he adds wryly as he flits to Barrier Breakers side.

"I think you're right," Barrier Breaker murmurs lamentably as he pushes himself onto his hands and knees and takes a moment to wince. He skid plate was definitely not meant for such casual abuse and especially not during the course of chasing after the disembodied sparks of soon-to-be siblings. Still, he does hurry, pushing off the floor as quickly as his heavily armored form allows between turning to look down at Freefall from between the alt-mode legs lining his back.
"Uhm." He says after a moment of struggling to his feet. "I... think I'm going to be spending the next few minutes trying to catch a spark. If you want to, you can just stay here." And be safe from the rest of the dark and forbidden depths of Axiom's beast filled laboratory. Still, it would nice to have help, especially considering the fact that the spark container was likely to be as fragile as anything Barrier Breaker had ever touched. But he doesn't have the will to ask that from Freefall so he merely gives the smaller mech a hopelessly hopeful look.
