NAME: Aftermath
ALLEGIANCE: Predacon
JOB(S): Filmmaker
ALTERNATE MODE(S): Big gray Cybertronian truck
QUOTE: "Quiet on the set or I shall murder you!"
BRIEF HISTORY:
Aftermath was one of the main Decepticon propagandists during the Great Wars, known for being a revolutionary filmmaker and creating powerful and moving stories related to the Decepticon cause. A very famous figure of his time but like all people on the defeated faction he'd eventually suffer a very great fall. After Pax Cybertronia his works were banned across Cybertron, mocked and diminished by the new Maximal order. Any passion he'd had for the Decepticon cause was soon diminished and all that was left was a disillusioned filmmaker trying to scrap up a pitiable living with his tattered talents.
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE:
He has a pretty typical ground-bound 'Con build- big, tough and easily armed although he has very little weapons on him. His transformation scheme is similar to G1 Kup's. Aftermath's main color scheme is grey with yellow highlights. His face is a dark grey mask while his optics are the usual Decepticon red although he usually wears a black visor over them now.
PERSONALITY:
He's either constantly drunk or constantly having moodswings, usually both. The times he's sober is when he's filming and even that isn't a guarantee anymore. But he still likes yelling and bossing around the staff as much as possible. Not a nice boss.
Despite his generally gruff and confusing nature though, he's really quite the intellectual. If caught in the odd good mood (and if one was willing to bear the caustic cynicism) he'll quite willingly talk about past beliefs and comment on the current state of Cybertronian society. Not that anyone likes to, it's just a possibility.
WEAPONS/ABILITIES:
Has the ability to capture pictures and record a lot more video on his extra memory space than most other mechs do. Asides from that and the standard Decepticon combat training though he's not horrendously special ability-wise. He's armed with a small laser pistol and an equally small energy knife.
WEAKNESSES:
Aftermath is drunk half the time so that's probably his main weakness. He stops checking to see if his drink is spiked after the fifth round anyways. Asides from being in a constantly manipulable state of mind he's also prone to picking fights although he's pretty well versed in the art of bar fighting by now.
SAMPLE POST:
There people scuffling around him, scuffle, scuffle, insects on the walls and it took all of Aftermath's self control not to yell at them. The sound could always be edited later, after all. And anyways the actor on the set didn't really have a nice voice anyways.
Still, the scuffling continued- the faint scratch of metal on sound dampening rugs. Hushed whisperings, uncomfortable shifting and the glint of a lit optic between the light stands. Snarling inwardly, Aftermath sent out a sharp 'Quiet!' over the ether and for a few seconds, golden silence befell the set.
The the scuffling started again.
Calmly, the grey truck reached over to tap his cameraman over the shoulder uttering a snappish "CUT!" for everyone to hear. The actor looked startled but he wasn't going after the actor. Grabbing his pistol, Aftermath lunged into the darkness that blanketed the back of the film set, feeling quite smug when the scuffling feet took off running. Film appreciation: he teaches it.
